End Of Life Care

We are sorry you and your pet are going through a difficult time. Deciding to have your pet put to sleep is one of the hardest decisions you will ever make but euthanasia is the final, kind act we can do for our faithful companions to end their suffering.
There comes a time when the kindest thing you can do for your pet, is to let them go. We are here to help make that process as stress free as possible. We offer home visits enabling your pets to be euthanased peacefully in familiar surroundings, surrounded by family that love and care for them.
If you are unsure if the time has come for your pet, you can check here, to help you decide: How can I tell if my pet still has a good quality of life? - PDSA . If you are still unsure, please contact your registered vet or ourselves for further help and advice.
What Happens During A Home Visit?
During the home visit, we will have a chat about your pets health and the euthanasia process. When you are ready, we will administer a sedative injection to your pet, allowing your pet to drift peacefully into a deep sleep, whilst you cuddle them if you wish. The sedative usually takes 5-10 minutes to work.
Once your pet is sleepy, an overdose of anaesthetic is injected, usually into a vein in the leg. This allows your pet to pass away peacefully.
We will then use a stethoscope to check that your pet has passed away.

We work closely with family run crematoriums in Yorkshire, we can help arrange cremation, or you can make your own arrangements with the crematorium, or you can opt for home burial.
If you have decided it is time to say goodbye, please check below that you are in the areas we cover and then contact us below and we can arrange a visit.
